Eleven

Eleven years ago today my life changed forever when my daughter was born. I’m still writing about that most amazing experience now, in almost everything I do, because it affected me so completely – there’s joy and fear, surprise and delight, sadness and confusion, and a multitude of other emotions involved in being a father.
For twenty minutes after she was born, I had Ellie in my arms looking up at me with huge, dark, watery eyes. The most incredible twenty minutes ever.
Happy birthday, Sweetie.
