Danger:Zebras and long drops

November 14th, 2009 • Posted in Random Stuff |

I’m at a wedding party.  It’s taking place in a small valley, with a bar built into one hillside and lots of chairs and tables scattered around the place.   There are lots of people there, including many friends from my old workplace, although I’m not sure whose wedding this is.  The beer’s not too bad, although not great … especially at the price.  I’ve forgotten my wallet so I have to borrow money from a friend.  Some kids are jumping from a small cliff in the opposite valley wall, falling maybe thirty feet, bouncing and laughing as they climb up to do it again.  That’s got to hurt, I think, but no one seems concerned.  When I go to the bar to buy my round, I’m not even halfway there when I fall off my zebra.  I go to the doctor because I’ve hurt my back – there it is, that big scrap of ragged flesh and skin on the couch – and she suggests I should have gone straight to hospital.  I don’t really feel that bad … I can still walk around.  But when the ambulance comes it’s actually a stationwagon, and I’m looking forward to a rest.  My back’s still itching.  They give me some ice cream to keep me calm. I don’t even like ice cream.

That was my dream last night.  Welcome to my world.

You think? Better not tell you about my ‘planting the sweet potato’ dream then.

Nah, a ‘planting the sweet potato’ dream means you have unresolved guilt about not washing your car often enough.
