Back in the Saddle

March 1st, 2009 • Posted in Random Stuff |

I’ve been away for a few days with my family.  We went to Center Parcs, an utterly fantastic place for a family holiday.  We cycled and swam, relaxed in the evenings, watched the Masterchef final (Yay for Mat!), drank, and ate some superb cakes.  Sometimes I think that cakes are what make life worth living.  Consequently I am now a fat bastard, and I feel like I haven’t done any work for months.

So, before I return to this blog more fully, a couple of quickies.

Arthur Machen said:

Everything to me was wonderful, everything was the veil of an invisible secret.

What better way to sum up why we do what we do?

A friend of mine said:

Harry Hill is very funny and very clever.

And with those words, I lost most of my respect for her, because he’s a twat.

More soon.

Isn’t it funny how Masterchef draws you in, its a complete load of old pants deep down but somehow addictive and enjoyable. And three cheers for the winners devil beard and spooky eyebrows.
Surely Harry Hill must be clever, every time he comes on the tele somebody says “he was once a Doctor you know” !!

Centre Parcs! YES! Me and my other half went there a couple of years back WITHOUT any kids and it was amazing!

You were’nt a fat bastard when you climbed the creepy Towers(Ponty}spirral staircase. Try fortune kookies – fewer cals – less of a fat bastard. Brilliant stuff,Tim.
