Weird Times

No, that’s not the name of my new novel. (Actually the next full-length novel I write after DAWN will be called THE END … although there’s a short novel and some other stuff between now and then). Weird Times are what I’ve been living for the past few weeks. And grim times, and sad times, and happy times. These times have kept me away from the keyboard for a while, but I’m back at it now, working hard through DAWN and looking forward to next year.

2006 will be the most exciting of my career so far. Why? January sees the publication of DUSK (Bantam) and BERSERK (Leisure). April will see HELLBOY: UNNATURAL SELECTION out from Pocket Books. There’ll be an e-serial novella published through the dedicated DUSK and DAWN website (which will also see print from necessary Evil Press), a new Assassin Series novella, a new hardback novel through NEP, a collection from Cemetery Dance … and some film stuff.

I’ll be doing a signing tour for the first time in my life, details of which I’ll post here as and when they’re finalised. I’ll also be at World Horror and Necon. And maybe later in 2006 I’ll make it over to another convention too … so many to choose from!

Now you can see why I’m excited! And busy, and wondering how I can fit it all in … but I try not to think about that too much:-)

The movie stuff is something I can’t talk about just yet, but I should be able to reveal mre details soon. Suffice to say, I’m hoping I’ll pop my screenwriting cherry next year. Exciting, and a bit daunting too!

Soon (end of September) I’ll be launching a website dedicated to my fantasy novels from Bantam, of which DUSK will be the first. The site will have reader reviews (send ’em in!), artwork, extracts, ever-expanding information about Noreela, the DUSK world, and lots, lots more. There’ll be a prize draw for anyone who pre-orders DUSK, with some great prizes. Look out for info here, and in my newsletter (which you can sign up for at the Links section of this website).

So as you can see, there’s a lot to come in the next twelve months, with more on the horizon. Please keep in touch … through the message board or by email. Let me know what you thought of BERSERK (out now from necessary Evil Press). I love hearing from readers, so keep ’em coming!

Stay safe.
Tim
