Updates and Bluebells
Hi Folks! Thought it was time for an update on a few things.
DAWN is out now and reaction so far has been great. A few readers – and indeed some reviewers – have commented that it’s a bit grim, but it’s about a world dying! Duh. You can order at all the usual places, a list of which can her found HERE.
The next fantasy book set in Noreela is called FALLEN, and I’m close to finishing it. I won’t say much about it right now, but it’s not as large scale as DUSK and DAWN and it concentrates on two main characters. I’m delighted with how it’s going, and I’ll post more information as and when it comes in. I’ve also written a novella set in Noreela called THE VALE OF BLOOD ROSES, and as soon as the publisher confirms details I’ll let you know where and when that will appear.
There will also hopefully be one more exciting Noreela announcement in the next few weeks … watch this space!
Chris Golden and I are steaming ahead with our first collaborative novel MIND THE GAP. Really pleased with this one, we find we’re working very well together and we’ve already got ideas for novel #2, and a title (which I’m sure Chris won’t mind me sharing): THE MAP OF MOMENTS. Again, more info as and when the first book is delivered and scheduled.
Movie news:
WHITE moves on apace …
The option on EXORCISING ANGELS has been renewed, and it looks like there’s some progress there, but I can’t say too much right now.
There are also a couple of other things ticking over, but nothing firm yet.
I had a fantastic time in Toronto for World Horror, though it washed me out for about a week when I got back. Catchphrase of the weekend was ‘We care about your load’. Typical convention then.
Looking forward to Necon! If you’re going, I look forward to seeing you there. If you’re not, I’ll raise one for you.
Now then, the bluebells are out in our local woods, and it’s time once again to take my kids over there to see them. Spring’s one of my favourite times of the year, and it doesn’t last long.
