New NOREELA novella

VALE OF BLOOD ROSES, a new novella set in my alternate world of Noreela, will appear in issue 8 of Subterranean Magazine! I’m thrilled about this. It’s quite a dark novella (what did you expect?), quite strange, about a band of mercenaries immediately after the Cataclysmic War. I’m very pleased with it, and I’m glad it’s found such a good home.
I wrote half of this novella travelling to and from Toronto for the World Horror Convention, sitting next to Mark Morris as he worked on his Doctor Who novel. So who says it’s impossible to work on ‘planes?
There’ll also be some more exciting news about Subterranean Press very soon, so keep checking back!
