Ronnie James Dio

Heard yesterday that Ronnie James Dio – singer with Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Elf, and his own brilliant solo band Dio – passed away on Sunday. I’ve always been a huge metal fan, and Dio had one of the strongest, most dependable metal singing voices, a voice that didn’t weaken at all as he grew older.   Listen to this classic track.  Rock on, Ronnie.

    I remember seeing Dio on the Holy Diver tour at Hammersmith Odeon and still not being able to hear properly the next morning.

    I too was saddened at this news. I grew up listening to Ronnie, his music was and is a soundtrack to my life. I had Dio-Fest weekend at my house this past weekend to honor his memory. All-Dio / All Weekend. A good time was had by all.
