Flogging Molly

I’m going to see Flogging Molly! Just bought tickets to see them this coming Sunday at Bristol Carling Academy, along with my mates Gary Greenwood and Ly. Hoorah! Flogging Molly are one of my may favourite bands of the last few years, and I’m so excited. I’m even excited by the support bands, especially Street Dogs, whose album Fading American Dream is a classic. Yet to pick up their new album, but I will soon.

I’ve always wondered wht their music was like. the Pogues reference sold me. Any recommendations on Flogging Molly CD’s to start with? On a nother note, there was a contestant on Jeopardy last that looked too much like you. Scary.

Flogging Molly are brilliant, and I’ll be writing a long post soon about the gig. As for which albums to recommend, they’re one of the few bands for which I’d say go for any album. The new one FLOAT is perhaps a little more commercial and polished than the others, but equally stirring. So why not get in at the beginning and try their first, Swagger?
