    • Allen Ashley A fine writer and editor from the UK.
    • Allyson Bird A fine new writer, a lovely person, but someone this cool just has to have a closet full of skeletons.

    • Brett A Savory An excellent Canadian. Read The Distance Travelled or die unfulfilled.
    • Brian Hodge Fantastic writer, wrote one of the creepiest stories I’ve ever read, The Dripping of Sundered Wineskins.
    • Brian Keene US horror writer causing a storm, author of The Rising, Terminal, Ghostwalk, and many others. Crap British accent.
    • Bryan Smith A great writer from the US!
    • Christopher Golden My American brother.
    • Conrad Williams One of our finest writers, and only now – at last – getting the attention he deserves. One of those horrible people who makes me think ‘why do I bother’.
    • Dan Simmons A real inspiration … unhindered by genres, everything he writes is touched with genius.
    • Douglas Clegg A fine writer of horror, supernatural and suspense novels.
    • F. Paul Wilson Author of the Repairman Jack novels, all-round good bloke.
    • Gary A. Braunbeck What can I say about Gary? Another one of those people who makes me wonder why I bother … his work is IMPORTANT!
    • Geoff Cooper Author of Bum Piss and Other City Scents, likes coffee, can’t run for shit.
    • Graham Joyce Painfully talented, horribly good looking and charismatic, you just can’t help hating him on sight.
    • Jack Ketchum Award-winning author of classic novels such as The Girl Next Door, The Lost and Hide and Seek. Whisky lover, all round good bloke. Can often be found in Greece.
    • Joe Hill Author of the excellent 20th Century Ghosts and Heart Shaped Box.
    • Kealan Patrick Burke Young writer and editor who has quickly established himself firmly at the heart of the genre today.
    • Lee Thomas Fantastic writer from the USA – horror, thriller, YA stuff.
    • Mark Chadbourn Investigative journalist, expert on UK mythology, goatee-wearing author of the Age of Misrule cycle of novels as well as one of my favourite novellas of all time, The Fairy Feller’s Master Stroke.
    • Mark Morris He’s a bit short and has got no edge, but he’s also one of my best mates. A fine novelist and short story writer, and discoverer of the spring of eternal youth. It’s somewhere near Leeds.
    • Michael Oliveri Author of Deadliest of the Species, great guy, has a good taste in names for kids.
    • Michael T Huyck Jr. Excellent US writer, lots of scars.
    • Ramsey Campbell The Guvnor
    • Sarah Langan Hot author of the brilliant The Keeper and Virus … one to watch, for sure.
    • Sarah Pinborough You look at her and think, ‘Oh, she’s lovely.’ Then you read her stuff. Very talented, and going places.
    • Scott Hintz A new horror writer from the USA.
    • Stephen Volk He should have a website!
    • Steven Erikson Author of the extraordinary Malazan Book of the Fallen series of fantasy novels. Another excellent Canadian.
    • Tom Piccirilli Award-winning author of many horror novels, now writing some of th ebest suspense and crime novels out today. Probably still crap at playing pool, though.
    • Tom Sniegoski Novels, short stories, screenplays, comics, there’s nothing this man can’t do.
    • Tony Richards An excellent writer. Read him and weep.
