Orbit UK – (Big News Part 1)
I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve sold two dark fantasy novels to Orbit UK. The first will be ECHO CITY FALLS, due Summer 2011, and the second is an as yet untitled novel due Spring 2012. You can check out Orbit’s website for details.
ECHO CITY FALLS is a richly gritty novel about a huge, ancient city in crisis, the threat growing beneath its streets, and a mysterious visitor who emerges from the endless, deadly desert surrounding the city…
Orbit are one of the biggest and best genre publishers in the UK, and I am so excited about this deal. I’ve already met up with my excellent editor Bella Pagan, I’ve been eager to spread the news, and I just know it’s going to be fun. Watch this space for more developments.
And watch out soon for Big News Part 2.

Awesome news.
I’m really chuffed for you. You’ve certainly earnt it.
At last, I’ll be able to pick you up in Waterstones without having to ask one of the people with strange facial hair.
Does this mean your becoming a fantasy author?? I’ve always been a fan of your horror work myself.
Cheers
Rich

Thanks Rich! Actually, I’ve written & had published 4 fantasy novels in the ‘States over the past few years (two of which, FALLEN and THE ISLAND, were published here by Allison & Busby). But yeah, Orbit are publishing my fantasy over here now.
As for the horror … watch this space for Big News Part 2 over the weekend …
