Humdrumming, farewell
As it’s public knowledge now, I can talk about the fact that Humdrumming have gone into receivership. I’ve been getting a flood of emails from people who’ve ordered THE REACH OF CHILDREN through them, and at the moment it seems that the company are shipping anything pre-ordered. However, I’m not sure of the status of the Very Special Edition, though I’m pretty certain that this was never manufactured.
It’s a sad state of affairs, and it’s painful and messy for everyone involved. Everyone emerges from something like this having lost out … apart from the lawyers brought in the clear up the mess, I suspect.
THE REACH OF CHILDREN is probably one of the best things I’ve ever written. Considering so few copies are out there, I’ve had many emails telling me that, and that’s heartening. What’s depressing is that the first print run was very low – way below the contracted print run – and this is a book I want available for people to read.
It will appear again in one form or another, and I’m hoping to have news on that very soon. So watch this space.
Meanwhile, any queries about invoices or money owed or owing, email David Chappell (at the company dealing with Humdrumming’s affairs): DavidChappellGCP@aol.com

Just got my copy of Reach yesterday. Number 2. That’s the lowest number of any book I have. Sorry to hear all of this.

Very saddened to hear the news, Tim. I agree with you, I think REACH probably was one of the best things you’ve written, and I’ve read most of your work. Hell, it’s doubly depressing because my review finally went up this month at Horror World! I hope it finds a new home soon, because this book really does deserve a wider audience.

Ron, and thank you for the review. Who knows, it might help in seling the novella on to a new publisher. We’ll see.
Wes … enjoy the book.
