Corsair (Big News Part 2)

January 10th, 2010 • Posted in Book News |

corsair_blueI’m delighted to announce that I’ve sold two horror novels to Corsair, the new fiction imprint of Constable & Robinson (read their October press release about Corsair here).  The first book will be COLDBROOK, due for UK publication spring 2011, and the second is an as-yet untitled novel.

COLDBROOK is my biggest, longest, most ambitious novel to date.  It’s an apocalyptic zombie novel with science fictional elements, a tale of the zombie plague and its aftermath in this world and beyond, and is perhaps summed up best here:

In the beginning, our world comes to an end.  And after that things only get worse.

Corsair are an exciting new imprint headed by experienced editor James Gurbutt, and I am thrilled to be working with them on these novels.  It will be an adventure.

More soon…

Congrats! Is Coldbrook related to your story in The New Dead?

  5. Tim Lebbon says:

Mad Hatter … no, there’s no link intended.

Excellent news! I’m really pleased to see you maintaining the dual fantasy/horror author thing.

    The book sounds quality.

The only downer is the amount of money your costing me!! I’ve already shelled out for Fallen, Hellboy and the Fire Wolves, The Everlasting, Bar None and Hellbound Hearts!!

The wife hasn’t twigged yet that I seem to have an endless Waterstones gift card!

    Cheers
    Rich

Rich, thank you. Keep that card secret and I’ll keep ’em coming. Got a few releases scheduled for this year (a full list of books and anticipated publication dates coming soon).
