BAR NONE – the horror arrives soon

June 9th, 2009 • Posted in Book News |

In a couple of weeks my new novel BAR NONE will be released from Night Shade Books, my first horror novel in two years (other than 30 DAYS OF NIGHT, but that one wasn’t really my baby).  It’s a novel of ‘chilling suspense, apocalyptic beauty, and fine ales’.   I finished writing it just after my mother died, and so as well as the above, it’s also a book about memories and how important they can be.   So it’s serious, and also a bit of a romp, and I’m thrilled with how it turned out.

If anyone is interested in helping me promote this book you can download a beautifully designed poster (thanks to Deena Warner) from the Night Shade website, which you could print off and stick around your local bars, university campus, whatever.

Or, email me through the CONTACT page and I’ll forward it to you … along with my eternal gratitude.

I hope you enjoy BAR NONE when it hits the shelves … and please spread the word.

Can’t wait for this to come out it seems like it has been put back for years!

Any way because you haven’t brought out any horror for ages I went and bought a copy of fallen which is unusual for me because Fantasy isn’t really my cup of tea but…. might I say I think I may be converted, I thought it was brilliant and I finished it in a couple of days!

What order should I read the Noreela books in?

Matt, that’s great to hear … I hope other people will do the same, especially those who tell me ‘welcome back’ for writing a horror novel. As you’ve seen, my fantasy stuff si pretty dark as well. Thank you!

Hoorah! Glad its finally coming out and i think i might download the flyer so i can stick it up in my local Waterstones on the sly :oP

  4. chris says:

the flyer looks like a hardback?

  5. Tim Lebbon says:

Nah, trade paperback. I don’t think they have hardback plans for this one.

  6. Tim Love says:

Nightshade have stopped doing Hardcovers for a large portion of their releases these days. Which is a shame.

But if you hurry to the site, you can snag it (and 3 others) at half price. Offer good until Sunday June 21st.
