Zombies, and Children

If they found a way to record or film dreams, last night I’d have made the best zombie movie ever.  Forget Dawn of the Dead, Night of the Living Dead, 28 Days Later, et al … my dreams beat them all hands down.  At one point I was a father fleeing through a huge hotel with his son, doing his best to escape from the zombie plague rising quickly from the lower floors; then I was a crack female soldier with a high-powered rifle shooting zombies from the top of a long flight of stairs; then I was in a titty bar that was suddenly flooded with zombies.  Even some of the titties were scary.  Ah yes, sometimes, I love being a horror writer.

And talking of horror writing, my new novella THE REACH OF CHILDREN is available now.  Click through to check out the details, a couple of reviews and a brief synopsis.  One of the best things I’ve ever written, I think, and initial reaction is very positive indeed.  Give it a try, let me know what you think ….
