Blog Tour stop #9: SFX Magazine Website

June 1st, 2009 • Posted in Book News, Reviews & Interviews |

And so, all good things must come to an end.  Here we are at the end of the Blog Tour, and those nice folks over at SFX have allowed me to monopolise their blog for a bit to talk about the whole blog toury process.  Go and read it here.

Then go and buy the books.  Really.  What, you think all this was for free?

THE ISLAND is out in hardback in the UK today, and as a special promotion you can buy it for a tenner (RRP is £19.99) through the SFX website (scroll down to the bottom of the blog).  And go here to check out some of the stunning reviews the book has received so far.

FALLEN is available in mass market paperback.  It too has had some lovel reviews, some of which you can read here.

HUGE thanks to all the blogs and website that welcomed me over the last three weeks – I’ll be posting a big recap here soon – and also massive thanks to my publicist Chiara at A&B.  And my stylist, couldn’t have done it without you.  My hairdresser, Manuel.  My bodyguard Buster.  My personal trainer Mike.  Hell, thanks to everyone.

Blog Tour stop #8: Mad Hatter

May 27th, 2009 • Posted in Book News, Reviews & Interviews |

We’re almost done!  I’ll be visiting the SFX Magazine blog on Monday, but meantime here’s the latest blog on the tour, the Mad Hatter’s Bookshelf & Book review.  Please pop along and see what I’ve got to say about this whole being-a-writer thing …

Motorhead rocked.  Tonight, it’s a quiet evening with wine and a movie.  We can’t all party that hard.

And while I’m here, THE ISLAND has had a great review in Booklist, part of which says: “…a pulsepounding adventure with visceral thrills and Lebbon’s signature moral ambiguity.”

Blot Tour stop #7: Graeme’s Fantasy Book Review

May 25th, 2009 • Posted in Book News, Reviews & Interviews |

Blog Tour stop #7, everyone!  It’s Graeme’s Fantasy Book Review today, where the excellent Graeme asks me some interesting and sightful questions, and I attempt to answer them in a similar manner. He also reviews FALLEN here.

For anyone holding back from ordering a copy of FALLEN in case they win one on the blog tour … it’s almost over.  Get that itching ‘order’ finger ready over that ‘place order’ button … or better yeat, head off to Waterstone’s today.  It’s a bank holiday, give yourselves a treat.

And for anyone interested in the result of the post-blog party on saturday … Kylie was good.  But not that good.  Later today, I’m expecting the door’s to be battered down by Motorhead. Have ordered a dozen bottles of JD, an orchard of cider for Phil, and a Grand Prix of speed.

Blog Tour stop #6: BSC Review

May 23rd, 2009 • Posted in Book News, Reviews & Interviews |

Here we are at stop #6, a guest blog at BSC Review, where you can get an insight into why I write what I write, why I think I’m boring, and what scared me at the bottom of the garden.

Bananarama … oohhhh, what a night.  Tonight, Kylie Minogue said she’d pop in for my post-blog party on her way down to Newport for a few pints of lager and a fight.

Photo’s tomorrow.

Blog Tour stop #5: Speculative Horizons

May 21st, 2009 • Posted in Book News, Reviews & Interviews |

I invited the Banana Splits and got Bananarama.  What a party that was.

Next stop on my momentous worldwide Blog Tour is Speculative Horizons, where you can read an interview, a fantastic review, another extract, and ongoing competition details.

After-blog party tonight will be a quiet affair, attended by Miss Marple and Inspector Poirot.  Would you ever get on a train or cruise liner if you saw either of them on the passenger list?

Blog Tour stop #4: Falcata Times

May 18th, 2009 • Posted in Book News, Reviews & Interviews |

Well, someone turned up for the party at the end of Stop #3 on my blog tour … but I can’t remember much of it.  The neighbour’s dog was barbecued, every door in my house was removed, and my wife has been replaced by an exact replica.  I think maybe it was Pink Floyd.

Stop #4 is Falcata Times … please check it out for another in-depth interview, and another dodgy photo of me, this one even more close-up than before (if you dare) …

Tonight, am expecting the Banana Splits at the after-blog party.

Blog Tour stop #3: Highlander’s Book Reviews

May 15th, 2009 • Posted in Book News, Random Stuff, Reviews & Interviews |

Well, after the chaos at the end of the Blog Tour stop #2 party – everyone came to lash it up with Motley Crue, but we got Poison instead – I don’t feel inclined to make promises about who’ll turn up for the ‘end of blog’ party now that we’re at Highlander’s Book Reviews.

I’ve got calls out to Doro Pesch and Flogging Molly … but we’ll probably end up with Peter Andre.  Still, at least that’ll guarantee us a spread in Hello! alongside a Tribute to Jade by some woman who once babysat for her for ten minutes accidentally.

Please do pop by Blog Stop #3 for more competitions, a fascinating interview, giveaways, and a dodgy photo of me!

Blog Tour stop #2: Allison & Busby

May 13th, 2009 • Posted in Book News, Random Stuff |

After the first stop on my Blog Tour went so well (and the wild party that ran for 18 hours afterwards … wasn’t expecting the firetrucks, and who invited Motorhead?), it’s on to stop #2, at my very own publisher’s website, Allison & Busby.

Please drop by, enter competitions, and prepare for the next party.  I fear Motley Crue might swing by.
