			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Eleven years ago today my life changed forever when my daughter was born.  I&#8217;m still writing about that most amazing experience now, in almost everything I do, because it affected me so completely &#8211; there&#8217;s joy and fear, surprise and delight, sadness and confusion, and a multitude of other emotions involved in being a father.</p>
<p>For twenty minutes after she was born, I had Ellie in my arms looking up at me with huge, dark, watery eyes.  The most incredible twenty minutes ever.</p>
<p>Happy birthday, Sweetie.</p>
