Definitely! Both you guys are really leading the British Horror with proper 'British' novels. They don't have a cannibalised American identity, it's pure Frighty Blighty!

Hi Tim,

I've read a bunch of the stories in Hellbound Hearts and yours and Conrad's are easily the best ones. The interesting thing about your take on the mythos was the introduction of organic elements, I always saw Hellraiser as a bit of an industrial/bondage thing. Kind of like those space goth fella's with all the luminous clubbing gear. You definitely made it work and brought something new to the table.

I loved Conrad's story for a similar reason. He fused the detective story with the freaky torture bondage stuff and made that work too. They tried something similar with Hellraiser 5...it was shit!

Anyway, keep up the good work.

I finished "Under the Dome" last night, and it's definitely one of his good ones. I've noticed that he can be rather hit and miss these days (and believe me, it pains me to say that cause King's the man), but "Lisey's Story" and "Under the Dome" are definitely classic King.

On to "Hellbound Hearts", I've been looking forward to this collection. I've always liked the Hellraiser mythos (though not always the movies....). I'm interested in reading your take on it.
